A View From The Top

Some friends of ours invited us to the OU game last night. They have a suite on the west side of the stadium. Yea it was nice. We get off the elevator and turn right and I almost run smack into Bob Barry Jr. He just smiled and said hi to me! (Zann claimes he didn't see him but I know he was just playing it cool.) Our suite was only 4 down from the coaching staff and right next to Joe Castiglione's. Then, after halftime, I run into Kevin Wilson and the rest of the coaches that sit up there. I didn't have my camera on either occasion but I wish I did. The food was yummy, the view was spectacular and we won. What more could a girl want? I'm spoiled on going to games now. I want to sit up there all the time! We even had a 'hostess' that waited on us!

When we go to a game, I have to get there before the band goes out on the field. I LOVE to watch the drum major strut down the field. It's soooo cool!

You know you're high up when you can get the entire field in one shot!

I remembered that I had a color enhancement function on my camera and didn't turn it on til late in the 3rd quarter. It makes a huge difference! Check out all that red!

Our friends who invited us are on the left. Their friends that we didn't know are on the right.

We had a great time!

My sister was in Freshman Fanfare this weekend. I took my mom and Ethan to watch the show. Ethan really enjoyed himself. He wanted to look for Amy in every act.

Good Golly...

Miss Molly!

After calling her puppy for a few days, we decided on Molly. Ethan loves to terrorize her by dragging her all over the house. Poor thing has many years of tail pulling, rough housing and yelling ahead of her. He does read her books though, which is super cute. A boy and his dog...doesn't get much cuter than that!

Yesterday, we went to a few houses on the Parade of Homes with Jen and Casey. I LOVED the McCaleb home (as usual) and wanted to move in right away. It was only $574,900...yeah right! I can fantasize though. Then, today we went to a few more houses. We wanted to check out a few different neighborhoods for the future. There are some really nice ones going in on the North side. We decided to do the Parade of Homes this year instead of the fair. We were just too busy to do both. Now I'm anxiously awaiting An Affair of the Heart and Mistletoe Market!
I just love the Fall!

New Addition

We are the proud parents of a no name 10 week old Shih Tzu. Name suggestions are welcome! Ethan has already suggested Eve-A and Wall-E...go figure.

Good News

Our hard drive seems to be A - OK. Mr. Battery is the trouble maker and has officially been replaced. Now, I'm in the process of uploading 5000+ photos and 500+ videos to an online backup site. I think a little deleting might be necessary. Today was a good day. Have a great weekend!
P.S. Say an extra prayer for my in-laws who are in the path of Ike.

A very unfortunate event occured in our household on Tuesday morning. Our laptop's hard drive crashed. We are extremely upset since ALL of Ethan's videos and pictures were on that computer. Why did I keep putting off backing them up? We're working very hard to recover these precious memories of our first child. I will take this as a lesson learned since it was MY fault and I was the ONE and ONLY person that EVER used that laptop (do you hear the scarcasm?). I, however, do have the pictures on my blog to cherish and the cd's of Ethan's first 6 months that I made. Stupid Dell computer...
I don't know when I'll be able to blog again. It's been a traumatic week.

Today was a pretty good day. We had some beautiful weather and Ethan had a good nap so we decided to head to the zoo. We haven't been since that hot trip back in July. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Aunt Amy got to go too.

Ethan loves hanging out with his aunt Amy (and aunt JuJu and uncle Casey). He loves all of his family.

Zann HAS to see the bears when we go to the zoo.

Ethan wanted to take this picture. He thought the ELK was cool.

He DID NOT want to get anywhere near the fake gorilla...until Amy persuaded him otherwise.

Fun day.

In case anyone cares, OU plays Cincinnati tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be a better game than the blowout last week.

Oh Ethan

Ethan has been acting more and more like a big boy lately. We started into the 'Why's' not too long ago and he has to ask 'why' for everything. Just a few minutes ago, getting ready for his nap, we had this conversation...
Me: Ethan let's go pee pee before your nap.
Ethan: Why? Because you said so mommy?
Oh Ethan. Now maybe at least I won't get 'why?' so often.

Labor Day

We spent our Labor Day outside playing baseball...

I played around with the color option on my camera and am quite pleased with the outcome. I need to read my user's guide to actually use the full potential of my camera (even though it's 3 years old and I need/want a new one).
Hope everyone had a fun 3 day weekend.
